Hi everyone, my name is Brodie Eager and I am a 15 year old hockey player aspiring to compete for Australia at the Olympic Games in Brisbane 2032.

Over the past four years I have been selected to represent Victoria 5 times in both School Sports Australia and Hockey Australia Championships in field and indoor hockey.

I am very excited to let you all know that I have been selected to represent Victoria once again as a member of the U15 School Sports Victoria hockey team that will be competing at the School Sports Australia Games on the Gold Coast from July 27th to August 3rd 2024. This inaugural competition will be the first of its kind and will see over 4000 participants across 6 sports compete for their respective National Championship.

These competitions are extremely important for me to be able to achieve my dream of representing Australia at the Brisbane Olympic Games. In order to be the best player I can be I need to compete against the best players in not only my state but in the country. However, like most things in this world my dream does come at a high financial expense. As I am only 15 it is very hard for me to help my family with the costs associated with attending these National Championships. With hockey training taking up most of my spare time and school work taking up the rest I am unable to get a part time job to help with the expenses. When I found out about this fundraising opportunity through ASF I realised that there was a way I could help my family after all.

To compete in the Gold Coast we have to self fund flights, a week's accommodation, car hire, competition fees, training costs, uniform (fortunately I have been donated 80% of the required items), administration fees and insurance. As this will be my sixth interstate National Championship in the past 4 years, I think it's time to help take away some of my family's financial burden by seeking the compassion of my family and friends through a small monetary donation.

I know most families are finding it quite hard at the moment in this current financial climate so I will be forever grateful for any way you can help support my dream.
