About the project

The Bundaberg Rowing Club is located on two Rivers and caters for rowers living in the greater Bundaberg region from Childers through to Gin Gin and beyond..Members range in age from 13 year old learners to Veteran rowers of all abilities. Members of the Bundaberg Rowing Club row and train on either the Burnett River or the Kolan River. The Bundaberg Rowing Club shed on the Burnett River is situated on the corner of Quay Street and Toonburra Streets and the Bundaberg Rowing Club shed at Bucca is on the corner of Rowing and Longs road, Bucca. All rowing Regattas, camps and most clinics are held at the Bundaberg Rowing Club’s Bucca Facility on the Kolan River and members train from there or out of the Bundaberg shed on the Burnett river. The Bucca Rowing and Accommodation Facility is available for hire for rowing camps, school camps, clinics, sporting groups and various groups. The accommodation can be either self-catering or fully catered for. We have a minimum number for organised groups to self cater and cater. The minimum number for self catering is 18 and the minimum number to be catered for is 30. It is a great place for groups as it is away from the distractions city living may bring. The rowing course has 8 lanes and is a buyoed course for the full 2,000m with a transit lane. We have 22m of pontoons and plans for additional pontoons as the facility grows.
