The Friends of Burnside Foundation has been established to support our amazing club. Burnside Rugby Union Football Club Inc is one of South Australia’s premier rugby clubs with junior and senior teams playing in all age groups and grades in the Adelaide Rugby Union competition. The Club has been playing since 1946 and has strong participation by boys and girls in our Junior Teams (U7 to U18) and also across our three men’s senior teams and our premier Women’s team.

Being one of the biggest and most successful rugby clubs in Adelaide means we attract players and supporters from all over Adelaide and surrounding towns. This means we offer players, supporters sponsors and our volunteers the best a club can offer.

Our Philosophy

Burnside Rugby Club strives to provide opportunities for everyone in our community to participate in a healthy, safe and inclusive rugby activities in a fun and family orientated environment. The club is managed by dedicated volunteer staff, all of who tirelessly provide their skills, time and assistance to ensure the club can offer a variety of structured programs.

As we are a local community sports club, our major source of revenue is generated from membership fees and donations received from generous individuals and businesses. These funds are then reinvested into the club for the benefit of all members.

In addition to the funds mentioned above, Burnside supports and commits a foundation for all of our members and supporters. 

Burnside Rugby Union Football Club is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation which means donations of $2 or more to the Friends of Burnside Foundation are tax deductible.

Your donation will assist in providing financial assistance for the following:

• Coaching and coach development
• Rugby equipment
• Training resources
• Sporting facility developments
• Player and team travel

Burnside athletes performing on the local stage will raise the profile of Rugby Union in SA and help to attract further players and resources.
