We are proud to introduce you to the Burraneer Women’s Rugby Club, where more than over 50 aspirational women’s players are changing the game and are no longer ‘the side-show’, but the main attraction.

This group of players and coaches developed alongside a traditional men’s rugby club in our early years, and created one of the most successful programs in Australia for women’s rugby 7s.

On the back of this success, these women have challenged themselves to be the best Rugby 7s club in the world by competing in the Emirates Dubai Rugby Sevens in December 2022. Access to this standard of competition is by Invitation only and BWRC are to date the only Australian side whom are invited to compete in 2022 with the opportunity to face teams from England, France, USA and beyond.

There is no doubt a challenge globally with the effects of the pandemic and war in Ukraine impacting the affordability of international travel.
