Support Cadel Ambrose

Cadel Ambrose is a 16 year old living on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula and since June 2022 has been racing in the Hyundai Excel class. In only his first full year of racing Cadel is the 2023 Hyundai Excel Victorian State Champion - the youngest (at 15) to have achieved this in Vic, if not the nation!

Cadel began racing go karts at 9 years old, quickly establishing his driving skills by winning two of the five Australian Kart Championship rounds and placing 3rd overall.

During his karting career he has had multiple podium finishes in both the Victorian and Tasmanian State Championships (including winning the Tasmanian Championship), as well as winning several other championships and being awarded Victorian Karter of the Year as a Cadet 12.

He raced at a staggering 30 kart tracks around Australia, with an impressive 70% podium finish rate, as well as 4 lap records in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. He also travelled to Lonato, Italy, to compete in the Mini Rok Cup. As one of the youngest competitors in his class he battled against 180 drivers from around the world to secure a spot in the B Final.

Since stepping up to the hugely competitive Hyundai Excel Trophy Class (drivers aged 14-40), he has continued to impress, finishing 7th overall from a field of 34 in his very first race meeting.

In 2023 Cadel became the Victorian Hyundai Excel Champion! At 15, he is the youngest to achieve this in the state, in not the nation!

This year, Cadel has been selected to race in the Hyundai Excel Dunlop Destiny Series. Dunlop has created this programme as part of an opportunity for aspiring young drivers to gain experience at a higher level through the Dunlop Destiny Programme. This programme is only available to drivers under the age of 25. The series winner will automatically gain entry to the Dunlop Destiny Programme, along with several other competitors selected by experts in Motorsport. This 3 round series starts at the Bathurst 6-hour at the end of March, followed by Queensland Raceway and Sydney Motorsport Park.

He has also been selected to step up to the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia Scholarship Series. This is a newly established nation-wide one-make circuit racing series for TGRA 86 race cars. At the conclusion of the series, a limited number of drivers will be selected by an expert panel of judges to participate in a single evaluation event. From this, one driver will be awarded a TGRA 86 Scholarship and a fully funded drive in a TGRA 86 Series event. For this, he will need to purchase a car, and as well as entry fees, tyres, fuel, travel and accommodation, estimated costs for the year will be around $80,000 plus an additional $20,000 to compete in the Hyundai Excel Dunlop Destiny series and he is seeking your help to reach his goals.

With Cadel's proven driving talent and maturity beyond his years he is destined for a long career in motorsport. His ultimate goal is to secure a seat in a V8 Supercar team. To this end, he is looking for short and long-term partner sponsors for 2024 and beyond. If you are interested in this sort of support (including car signage, live TV coverage on FoxSports, SBS & Kayo & fast laps in the passenger seat), please contact him directly at sales@xtremerotaries.com for a comprehensive sponsorship package.
