Caitlin and Alisha’s dream is to compete for Australia at the 2024 Olympic Games and beyond. This tour is a critical first step in gaining valuable international points and experience, to launch them into the next phase of the qualification pathway.

Whilst they are both fortunate to receive some support from their governing sport body, there is still significant expenses to cover. Below are the projected costs per person (taking into account current AUD to EU conversion rates):

Flights: $4,120

Accommodation at $75 per day: $2,625

Food per day at $50 per day: $1,750

Incidentals: $500

Total Cost: $8,995 per person ($17990 total cost as a pairing) 

· $50 can cover our food for 1 day while we are oversees!

· $150 can cover our accommodation for 1 night!

· $1,000 can contribute to international or internal flight costs!

They need to compete in 5 FIVB Pro Futures events across 4 different countries, in 6 weeks. This international competition is imperative, as being based in Australia means they are often isolated from the rest of the world. Furthermore, without this trip, their opportunity to qualify for the 2024 Games is slim.

The partnership of Caitlin and Alisha is exciting to watch. In 2022 they won Gold and Silver on the Australian National Tour and earned a 4th place at the FIVB Pro Futures event in Thailand. Their 2022 success shows great promise leading into these upcoming World Tour events, but they need your support!

Caitlin is based at the Queensland Academy of Sport, where she trains full time in Volleyball Australia’s Developing Volleyroos Program. Alisha, until recently was also an athlete in this program – in January she accepted a full scholarship to Division 1 Loyola Marymount University in California, where she now studies and trains full time when she is not at home in Australia.
