Caloundra Rugby Union was founded in 1982 and competes in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competition. From humble beginnings, the club’s facilities have been developed in recent years to be the pride of the members and supporters.   The Club promotes the love of rugby for players of all abilities and has recently introduced a Sevens program as well as strengthening the Women’s team.

The Lighthouse Rugby Foundation was established to raise funds for the continued development of rugby in the Caloundra area and to strengthen the club both on and off the field. The Foundation will allow the Club to fund raise towards various projects that will develop the club and its community.
