CAMERON'S DEBUT AT SENIOR TRAMPOLINE GYMNASTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

I won my first medal at a national level back in 2015 when I was 8yrs old. I’d started gymnastics only the year before after we did a gymnastics program at my school.
I was so excited to win a medal but even more excited watching the Seniors compete. I thought to myself - “One day I want to be that good”. Apparently my Mum had different thoughts watching those Seniors - her thoughts were more along the lines of “I hope Cameron doesn’t get to that level - it looks way too dangerous and scary”!
I became the Under 11 National Champion for both DMT and TRP at my first National Championships the following year and went on to represent Australia at World Age Group Competitions in 2019 and 2022. My dream was to one day make the Senior team and represent Australia at the World Championships. I have worked hard and am so proud that that dream has come true this year.
My family have sacrificed a lot of time and money in supporting my gymnastics endeavours and I would be so very grateful if you would help me to minimise their financial sacrifice this year by making a small donation towards my trip to Birmingham, UK. One day, when I am earning an income myself, I hope to be able to repay my family in some way and maybe support other athletes wanting to pursue a similar path.
Thank you for reading.
PS Whilst my Mum has come to terms with the increasing level of difficulty I perform on the trampolines, she still sometimes holds her breath and closes her eyes !
