My name is Carrie-Anne, I am 30 years old I have a rare genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or EDS for short. This condition is unfortunately degenerative and causes widespread pain and frequent dislocations as well as other health problems. I love Ice Hockey but my joints cannot cope with able-bodied sports, I found Para Ice Hockey 5 years ago and fell in love with the sport. I had a go in goals and loved it. I have worked very hard in training and my hard work and determination has finally paid off. I had the privilege of competing in Nationals selection camp this year and have been offered to go overseas to do further training, competitions and eventually aiming for the winter Paralympics
