About

The Carrum Bowling Club is a community based lawn bowls club that has been in existence since 1924 and has 125 members. We have 6 teams that compete in Pennant competitions on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as a weekly social bowls day for members. Recently we have embarked on a program to introduce lawn bowls to a younger generation through our Schools Program. We have embraced this program to refresh our membership and to broaden the exposure of lawn bowls Since July 2015 we have introduced lawn bowls to over 300 students from local primary and secondary schools. Due to the very positive feed-back from the students and the schools we have now commenced a Primary Schools lawn Bowls competition in which year 5 and 6 students from 7 local schools are participating. In term 4 of the school year we intend to extend the schools competition concept by introducing a secondary schools competition. Additionally, our Club conducts family-friendly events to enhance our community profile.
