Hi Everyone!

My name is Chelsea, I’m a 14-year-old Taekwondo Athlete. I have been training at Taya Taekwondo since I was 5 years old. I also enjoy other activities such as swimming, archery, basketball and badminton. In my spare time I love to read, draw and watch movies with my family and friends.

I regularly compete in local, interstate and whenever possible, international competitions. Every competition is a learning experience for me. My dream is to someday represent Australia in the Olympics.

Recently, I competed at the Cadet National Team Selections and successfully earned a spot in my division to represent Australia at the 2023 World Taekwondo Cadet Championships. The event will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from August 28th to 31st. I will also be competing at the Bosnia Open on September 2nd following the conclusion of the World Championships.

It is such an incredible opportunity to be able to compete in international events. I am very honoured and excited to represent Australia. I am fortunate and grateful to have a great team of coaches, athletes and family and friends who support and help me.

All the competitions I attend are self-funded, and as you can imagine, it is quite an expensive journey. I humbly ask for your support by making a tax-deductible donation to help me raise funds to get to the World Championships and Bosnia Open. All donations will be used to cover round trip flights, accommodations, transfers, meals, team uniform and competition registration fees.
