The $1 Million Challenge

5 time Olympian and gold medallist from the Sydney 2000 games Nat Cook has challenged the Aussie public to raise $1 million to support the creation of future iconic Australian sporting moments through the Aussie Athlete Fund powered my Ampol. This page contributes directly to that target, as I am fortunate enough to be one of the athletes selected to take part in this challenge.

How My Dream Started

I remember the first time I completed three training sessions in one week. I was a ten-year-old swimmer and felt like a pro for being so disciplined. My Dad said to me at that time that he hoped I would be able to realise my potential and become the best athlete that I could possibly be, and that has stuck with me ever since. A few years later, I was swimming ten times a week and racing internationally in the 10km open water swim, and I now train 25-30 hours weekly having switched my focus to triathlon in 2021.

The Goal

My goal is for this journey to culminate in selection for the Australian team at the LA Olympics in 2028, which would provide the ultimate test of my fitness and skill. My family continues to be equally as dedicated as when I was 10, and I am hoping that as I progress professionally in triathlon, your business or even individual support could help make this journey a sustainable one that has benefits for both you and I.

The funds raised will contribute to offsetting my triathlon costs, which require regular financial investment in travel and equipment suitable for competing at the highest level. A bicycle alone will cost well over $10 000, and many other items are absolute necessities.
