Hello!

My name is Clea Hall, and I am an 18-year old professional Sport

Climber from Brisbane, Australia.

I can tell you all about my achievements, the medals and the events that I have attended but that doesn’t tell the entire story. Climbing to me is opportunities to see the world and experience life. It is something that brings me the utmost joy.

From the first moment I climbed with my father holding the break rope at a small climbing gym in the Fortitude Valley, I knew I wanted to climb. I had a big smile on my face and wanted to climb up to the top of the massive (but actually tiny) 8 meter wall. I did, and that was that.

Next, I knew I came first overall in my Youth category in 2022, after having spent 2 months out of the sport due to a broken finger. I cried and cried and cried of joy.

Next, I am outdoors with one of my closest friends. We woke up at the crack of dawn to climb at P.C in Nowra. I was 16, yet here I was 14 hours away from home waking up at 5am to climb a piece of rock. The moment was perfect. The cold was comforting instead of numbing. The sun was shining yet there was still fog in the valley. I loved every moment of that send.

And then here we are. After ups and downs we made it to the other end of my time as a Youth athlete. Now, I am asking for your help to have one last hurrah. I want to give this competition everything I’ve got but only your help will get me there. I’m planning trips to Sydney and Melbourne prior to going overseas to train with fellow athletes and friends. I have to cover flights, accommodation and food. All that adds up. Same as all these memories and lived experiences add up to create the person I am now.

I’m looking to the future and it looks full of opportunities, and I promise you that I will take them.
