Corinda State High School, a leading co-educational public school in Brisbane, provides diverse learning and development opportunities that not only meet individual needs but exceed expectations. Ideally located near major sporting centres, including the Queensland Tennis Centre and the Queensland Academy of Sport, we are committed to building strong partnerships with sporting organizations to foster elite athletic development.

Our vision is to be a recognized elite athlete program school that empowers emerging athletes to pursue their sporting dreams without sacrificing academic success. Through specialized programs, mentorship, and holistic development, Corinda SHS ensures students excel both in sport and life.

Current Excellence Programs Achievements:

• Tennis Excellence: 2023 & 2024 Junior Girls State Champion School
• Football Excellence:
  • 2024 Senior Boys and Girls Schools Premier League Champions
  • Bill Turner Cup: State Champions and National Runners-Up
• Dance Excellence: 2023 National Champions in the Hip Hop category

Despite only being in its second year, the Elite Athlete Program has already seen incredible success. Notable achievements include:

• Aditya N (Speed Ice Skating): Australian 17 Years National Champion and 2024 Youth Olympics Representative.
• Tristan S (Tennis): Queensland School Sport Team Member (2023 & 2024); Top 16 at Nationals and Bronze Medalist in the Team Event.
• Ellen M (Archery): Multiple national and state titles; AIS Training Camp member and record setter.
• Bailey B (Inline Speed Skating): National bronze medalist and Australia representative at the Oceania Championships.
• Scarlet S (Karate): Australian Open and Queensland State Titles medalist; 2024 Commonwealth Championships representative.
• Rani S (Football): Qld Academy of Sport player, FFA National Youth Championships Silver Medalist, and Bill Turner Cup Captain.
• Isiah U (Volleyball): Queensland Merit Squad selection and National Youth Competition representative.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support the Corinda SHS Elite Athlete Program and help students access the resources they need to compete at the highest level. These funds will subsidize program costs, provide essential equipment and travel support, and assist families facing financial challenges.

• Support Services (e.g., Sports Psychologists): $3,000

Million Dollar Challenge – Powered by Ampol

We are proud to participate in the Aussie Athlete Fund’s Million Dollar Challenge, powered by Ampol. This incredible initiative, led by five-time Olympian Nat Cook OAM, aims to raise $1 million to support Australian athletes by pairing them with local businesses.

Through the Million Dollar Challenge:

• Corinda SHS athletes will partner with Australian businesses that will help with fundraising, mentorship, and support.
• Each business becomes an essential part of the athlete’s journey, helping cover costs for training, resources and support services.
• This initiative helps overcome the financial challenges of competing on the global stage.
