Club members and the many others who benefit from the activities of Cowes Yacht Club are invited to assist in donating towards the costs of the Stage 2 renewal to the ramp by participating in this fundraising being "Buy a Plank". 

This access ramp is fundamental to the operation of the Club as it is required to launch the Club rescue boats and is the key piece of infrastructure for the operations of the Club to continue.

This wooden ramp had stage 1 renewals in 2020 which cost $102,746.

The "Buy a Plank" donations will be used to directly fund the total cost of Stage 2 of the renewal of the ramp project.

The cost of a plank alone being $250 and the Club needs to order 68 turpentine planks.

The total project for planks, supports, concrete, excavator and labor is $77,500 which amortized over the 68 planks is just over $1,000 per plank.

Accordingly, Cowes Yacht Club is seeking Donations towards this project for either:

A "Wooden" plank                           $250

A “Golden” plank                             $1,000
