Hi meet Daken he’s 12 He’s funny, kind, smart and very driven. Daken is a little boy with a big heart and even bigger dreams. He loves loves loves football and athletics and seems to excel in everything he does, yeah hes got some natural ability but more than that this kids built on hard work, dedication, true grit and the pure passion for the things he loves.

Dake trains 5 days a week after school and attends every meet possible in his venture to become the best in Australia and with the self belief that in just a few short year he WILL be representing this country in the next Olympics. Last month Daken successfully took out the gold medal at the state championships in the under 12 boys tetrathlon ( long jump, 100m, shot put and 800m making him the number one ranked in Queensland.

He now has the opportunity to compete in the Australian national championships at the end of November. This would be Dakens fist ever national championship! however, the championships are being held in Tasmania.

We are working tirelessly to keep our sons dream alive because he works so hard and absolutely earns and deserves all of his accolades. However it is turning out to be quite costly for us to be able to make sure Daken gets to Tasmania. With all our hearts we just want to show Dake that dreams do come true and determination and hard work really does pay off.

Please help us to help Daken achieve all he works so hard for. Any small amount will be greatly appreciated in the hopes of keeping this committed and driven young man’s dreams alive. Keep an eye on this kid! He truely is a star in the making All funds raised will go to his flights and accommodation Truly thankful to all that take the time to read Daken’s story Happy to provide any further updates.
