Hello everyone,

My name is Damon Jaenke, and I’ve been a wheelchair athlete for many years, pushing my limits and chasing new goals every step of the way. From marathons to basketball, sport has always been at the heart of who I am. In fact, I was the first wheelchair marathon racer in Townsville—a title I’m proud to hold. I also spent 22 years on the basketball court before discovering para ice hockey, which I’ve been playing for the last 18 months.

Now, I’m embarking on a new challenge that’s bigger than ever. I’ve been selected to represent Australia at the C Pool World Championships in Thailand this November! This is a huge honour and an exciting step on the path towards one day competing in the Paralympics.

To make this dream a reality, I need your help. Competing at this level requires a significant financial commitment. I’m aiming to raise funds to cover travel, competition expenses, and training costs, along with the specialised equipment needed to perform at my best.
