I have been rowing now for 8 years and have had the dream of representing Australia on the international stage.

I have just been selected to represent Australia at my first Under 23 World Championships in the Women's Double, in Canada, later this year.

This is such an exciting opportunity for me and I can't wait for the chance to represent my country on the international stage.

I have previously been selected in the Under 21 Australian Team and also the World University Australian Team which were amazing opportunities. However, I am very exciting to now have the chance to race at my first World Championships.

As a part of this campaign I have had to move to Melbourne for 3 months to train before we head off to Canada in August. We are training 2-3 times a day and I am also studying full time at university for my Bachelor's of Engineering degree. This has made it very difficult to fit in any time for work.

The costs to compete at the World Rowing Championships are required to be covered by the athlete and include, relocation costs, accommodation, flights, uniform, entries, registration, equipment hire and other travel related costs.
