Danielle Hoskins selected for Australian Indigenous 19s Netball Team tour

Hello,

My name is Danielle Hoskins and I am 16 years old.

I come from a small country town in Central Western NSW where I am a Year 11 student at our local High School.

I have recently been selected to play netball for the Australian Budgies Indigenous Netball Team. The competition is to be held in New Zealand from 24th May 2019 – 31st May 2019 at the International Schoolgirls Netball Championships.

I have been playing netball since the age of 5 and every year since then.

I have played in a number of representative teams over the last few years and I love to make new friends.

I play in our school netball team and represent our school in various competitions.

Over the last few years I have played with the NSW Echidna’s Indigenous Netball team and the Australian Budgies Indigenous teams in Sydney, Gold Coast and Melbourne.

In 2017, I was selected to play Netball in the Australian Budgies Indigenous Netball team and my family and I travelled to Adelaide so I could compete at the Pacific School Games.

Also in 2017, I was selected to be one of several Baton bearers in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018. It was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed it.

I am very passionate about playing netball and one day hope to be a professional netball player and play for the Australian Diamonds.

Playing at this upcoming competition is another step closer to fulfilling my dreams and it will an amazing experience to represent my community, country and culture at this International Netball tournament.

With this being said, I hope that you would be able to help by pledging a tax deductible donation which will go towards my travel from Condobolin to New Zealand and tournament expenses.

Thank You,

Danielle Hoskins
