About the project
Help our Goannas be part of history again by winning GOLD at the 2019 Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf! They are currently the number 1 deaf basketball team in the Asia Pacific region and will be vying for a back to back win since winning gold at the event in 2015 that was hosted in Taiwan.
Each athlete is required to raise $5,000 to participate at the upcoming Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf that will be held in Hong Kong, and your support will go a long way to helping our team cover costs for flights, accommodation and uniforms.
Our collective goal is to raise $30,000 to help reduce the costs associated to travel to the Games and to represent Australia with pride. Funds provided for our trip will also enable us to focus more time on training and competitions so that we can be better prepared to face our Asian Pacific adversaries once again!
Through Deaf Basketball Australia’s fundraising partnership with the Sports Foundation, donations of $2 or more are tax deductible!
