Hi, my name is Dexter Swinsburg. I am an Optimist sailor at the Canberra Yacht Club. I have been sailing since I was 8 years old and I love it.

Since I started sailing Opti's, my dream has been to be represent Australia in sailing.

In my first year of sailing, I snagged the Most Improved Junior award at the Canberra Yacht Club. From there, I've been dominating the Optimist division competitions every single year.

Last year I won the Summer Optimist Regatta in Sydney and this year I was the top ACT Opti sailor at the ACT Optimist Championships.

I've got my eyes set on the Australian Optimist Championships in South Australia. It's a big deal for me because it's going to be my last Opti Nationals – I'll be turning 15 and won't be able to race Rocket Ship anymore. If you could help me make it there, that would be totally awesome!

Hi, my name is Spencer Swinsburg, I'm 11 and I've been sailing an Opti for two years. This year I sailed in my first state Optimist competition and am super excited about the Opti Nationals. My big brother is my sailing hero, and I'm crossing my fingers to compete with him. Super excited!
