Hi my name is Elijah Wu. I am 13 years old and dual athlete (Gymnastics and Taekwondo).  

My goal is to wear Green and Gold and represent Australia in both sports. On 7th July 2023, I got one step closer to achieving this by winning Gold at the Taekwondo Selections Event, in Brisbane, and I earned a spot on the Australian Team to compete at the 2023 World Cadets Championships. These Championships are being held in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 28th - 31st August, 2023.  

I started gymnastics and taekwondo when I was 6 years old. Since then I have been training 6 -7 days a week (up to 30 hours at times). Both sports have taught me hard work, dedication, discipline, perseverance and resilience. The losses and stumbles taught me to be stronger, to rise up and above, the successes have made me hungrier to chase my dreams.  

I am the 2023 level 8 under 14's Men's Artistic Gymnastics Australian Champion. I also recently competed at the 2023 Taekwondo Australian Open in a higher weight division and won Silver. I am now chasing my first World Championship.  

This trip to Bosnia is fully self-funded and I would appreciate any support you could offer to help get me there to chase my dream.
