Help Em represent Victoria at the 12&U SSV Netball national championships 2024

Embly has achieved her dream of being selected for the School Sport Victoria (SSV) 12 Years & Under Girls State Netball Team for 2024. However, for us to help her fulfill her dream, we are kindly asking for your help.

The honour of being selected for SSV also brings financial pressure. The approximate cost for player participation is $1,000. This includes uniform, competition fees, team photo, administration fees and insurance, however it does not include the costs associated with travel and accommodation for the player and their parent/carer, who must accompany their child for the duration of the tournament. The 2024 National Championships will be held in Melbourne, from the 7th-13th of September.

Embly, who has dreamt of representing Victoria ever since she started playing netball at age 9, always has a netball in her hands and is constantly outside throwing the ball against the wall and practicing her shooting.  Em, as she is known to us, started her netball journey as a 9 year-old, playing for the Beaufort Crows U/15 team. From this time, she also began playing in the Ballarat Netball Association summer competition, doing so for several years. For the past two winter seasons, she has played U11 seniors for Ballarat Swans and, after moving across to North Ballarat at the start of the year, has been playing in their U13 seniors team. Em was also incredibly fortunate to be selected as part of the Geelong Flyers Extended Squad for 2024. Aside from this, she represented her league (Ballarat Football Netball League) in the U13 Championship team at the Association Championships, held in Ballarat in June, before progressing through to the State Finals Day at Parkville in Melbourne.

Em’s SSV selection would not have been possible without the coaching and support of everyone associated with the teams she proudly represents, and the people involved in the sport, whom she has met along the way. We truly believe that her success so far, both on and off the court, is a product of the environment she has been exposed to and her pure determination to excel in a sport she loves. Anyone who knows Em, knows that she is extremely passionate about playing netball.

Em's reaction upon finding out she had been selected, demonstrated just how much it means to her. In recognition of all her hard work and dedication to the game she loves, she has been rewarded with the most incredible honour, to represent her state.

Any support that helps Em fulfil her dream to represent Victoria, would be truly appreciated by all of us, but most especially Em. Your donation would mean the world, as we do everything we can, to help her realise her dream.

Warm Regards,

Embly and the Jenkins Family
