The primary objective of the NSW Para Equestrian Dressage Futures Program is to provide the mentoring support, advice and training programs to Classified Horse and Rider combinations who are genuinely committed and who are independently assessed to have the capability of progressing on to the Equestrian Australia National Para Equestrian Squads and ultimately to representing Australia at International level. The horse and rider combinations will be known as Squad Members. Existing National Para Equestrian Squad Members will not be eligible to be Development Squad Members.

The secondary objective of the Para Equestrian Dressage Futures Program is to provide a gateway and encouragement for new horse and rider combinations to enter competitive Para Equestrian Dressage, through mentoring support, advice, assistance in gaining classification and participation in off horse information and learning programs developed for Squad Members. These horse and rider combinations will be known as Squad Associates.
