Earlier this year, some of our Australian-based Dressage, Para Equestrian and Eventing High Performance riders traveled to Europe with their horses to seek selection for the Rio Olympic Games.  The cost to transport a horse to Europe and back exceeds $50,000 including quarantine costs, much of which has been borne by the riders and connections.  In previous Olympics Games preparations, some riders simply couldn't afford to bring their horses home, so were sold, thus diminishing the stock of international standard horses in Australia.  This project will help bring our elite horses back to Australia and underwrite the future of our local competitions and high performance plans.
