WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATIVE!

What an honour to represent Australia at the World Championships in Bulgaria.

2022 has been a big  year for competitions;

·           Australian Championships was on the Gold Coast in May, I became the Australian Champion

·           World Cup Italy, I returned with a Gold medal and breaking a world difficulty record

·          World Games Birmingham USA, didn’t go to plan with my best on the day ending me in 6th place in the final. Upon returning it was evident I had a fracture in my ankle.

·           World Championships Bulgari, November 2022, I’m calling this my redemption!

While these competitions sound exciting (and trust me they are) they are all self funded. World Championships alone I have been advised to expect a $4000 bill!

I work hard to save, and have the support of my parents but it is still a huge burden.  I have three casual jobs, coaching my junior development squad and the club I train at ‘Kachan School of Tumbling & Performance’, working for a turf farm laying turf and door dashing.   I train four days a week 6.30am – 8.30am (when not laying turf) and 12.30pm – 3pm each afternoon, then Saturday mornings.

This is more than just a sport for me, this is my life.  At the beginning of the year my goal was to break the World Record for the most difficult pass which I did at the World Cup in Italy, my other goal is to win my first senior World Champion gold medal.  I am definitely eager for more success and can’t wait for the World Championships.

Having sponsorship means so much as I pursue my dreams. You can follow my journey and look back through the past years on my Instagram page. Thank you for your time.
