Seva lived in Melbourne from 2017-2019, during that time, he made a lot of friends and was an integral part of our community. He expressed interest in becoming an Australian, to live and work here as a fencing coach. Fencing Victoria engaged an immigration agent to sponsor him in his quest. The agent advised him to return to Ukraine and return having settled his affairs there. He took this advise and returned only to have the entire world upended by Covid. As the world began to open up and we made plans for him to return, war broke out in Ukriane. Seva's visa has been granted and we have been waiting for the opportunity to arise for him to return to make his new home here. Fencing Victoria is asking the broader fencing community to help make this a reality.
