About the project
On Friday 8 October, I am going to walk 34km from Midland to Fremantle for the Pararoos! Why? The Pararoos are Australia's flagship football team for athletes for people with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and stroke. In addition to having some awesome young stars, the team has a core of husbands and fathers. Physical activity is vitally important for all Australians as we age, but especially if you have a disability. The mobility you fought so hard for can evaporate much quicker than it came. So I am raising funds to support the veteran players to keep going all the way to the World Cup in Spain in 2022. So they can maintain their quality of life and set an example for other people with a disability to remain active in the community, all while taking on the world.
