Who are the Footscray United Rangers Football Club?

In 2017 a group of young people came together to start a club, that was welcoming, inclusive, and open to all regardless of any differences they may have. We believe that football is for everyone, with our fundraising campaign designed to support low socioeconomic players with low-cost football programs.

Why support the Rangers with a donation?

The best football clubs are the ones that give back generously to their community, by championing the causes of those who may not otherwise be able to play football without help. We offer inclusive football programs for a range of diverse groups that need our support, these include:

• All Abilities Soccer (programs for children with Disabilities)
• In-School programs (attending low SES primary schools with in-school programs to provide all children with the access to quality football programs, free of charge)
• Low Socioeconomic groups (we keep our fees far lower than the average football club so that no child, woman or man misses out)
• Rangers Refugee Program (scholarship fund for individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford football)
• Women and Girls (women and girls can experience significant barriers to participation due to many reasons, we keep our registration fee low to encourage more women and children)

Where will your money go?

Running a football club can be incredibly expensive, even with the amazing volunteers we have that are the lifeblood of our group. We are raising funds to manage the general expenses of running our programs, these costs include:

• Coaching expenses (All kids deserve fantastic coaches, remunerating these important leaders is vital to retaining excellent volunteers)
• Equipment expenses (Running multiple teams means multiple iterations of equipment purchases, we use cost-effective equipment to ensure your dollar goes further)
• Subsidizing player costs (As members of a lower socioeconomic demographic, our players do not have the disposable income that others would to expend on expensive football programs. Help us keep our registration costs down for these people).
