The instant feedback of swimming event timing is standard practice around the world. Swimmers look to gaining instant feedback of performance knowing their efforts are translating into personal best times. Forster Aquatic Swimming Club cannot continue operating manually. The Junior member base is growing and committee members are doing hours of data entry each week to upload results to the Swimming Australia online database. In addition to this, COVID-19 has impacted our volunteer base and we are operating on a reduced number of volunteers but an increased number of junior swimmers! Apart from simplifying the admin, an automatic timing system can also be utilised for local school swimming carnivals, allowing swimmers a more authentic experience. Many of our youngest club members join after having a positive introduction to competitive swimming through school events.
