Frederick Richards has been chosen, to represent Victoria, as one of 17 Lacrosse players to compete in the U15 boys Southern Crosse Team, at the National Tournament in Perth. He is a passionate junior player and dedicated teammember, who hopes this opportunity will enhance his experience, development and love for the game of Lacrosse.

With your support, he hopes that this experience will kick-start his journey as a high-performance player, starting by playing for Victoria, and eventually to fulfill his long-term goal of playing for Australia.

Lacrosse is a minority sport in Australia, but has a long history dating back to 1876. Many of our Victorian players go on to represent Australia in international competition. Internationally, lacrosse is a growing sport, with 77 nations now playing, and is likely to become an Olympic sport from 2028 and the Commonwealth Games (Victoria 2026)!

Each individual player, is largely responsible for paying for all of their equipment, uniforms, accommodation and travel expenses, which can be up to $5000. This fundraiser will provide valuable financial support to Fred (and his teammates) as they play lacrosse, representing Victoria in WA, and enable him to continue developing his skills and experiences in this competitive sport.
