Fundraising Goal: $365,000

The Gatton Jubilee Golf Club is a community sporting club. Our principal sport is golf but our club provides a venue for members, visitors and businesses to socialise on a daily basis. Our restaurant, Thai & More Cuisine caters for lunch, dinner and functions all year round. We are all about supporting the local community as we hold several charity golf events during the year. Community groups such as Gatton Tai Chi and Breast Cancer Awareness Group also use our clubhouse as a meeting place on a weekly basis.

This fundraising will be used for multiple purposes. Firstly it will be used to upgrade machinery used to maintain the golf course. This is long overdue and something that our small country based club can not afford by itself. Secondly to upgrade facilities around the course and club house, such as our netting fence which provides protection to our neighbours of the course. Also to upgrade the cold room in the club house which is also overdue for an upgrade. Thirdly as we are a country club, we are required to travel up to 300 kilometres to play representative golf, we are looking at purchasing a mini bus to assist to transport our representative players.
We are a club which has approximately 150 members. These consist of male and female members as well as junior members. We are looking at developing our female and junior numbers to increase the membership of the club. By fundraising for these three projects this will allow our club to get better facilities to attract a greater membership to the club and also provide for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the facilities.
We are the only 18 hole course located in and around the Lockyer Valley and to keep and maintain an 18 hole course you would normally require approximately 300 members. We have been maintaining the course through donations and volunteers so that we can keep operating our golf club.
