Greetings, All!

I am incredibly grateful to have been selected onto the Australian U23 Rowing Team this year, in the Women's Coxless Four (U23W4-) along with my pair partner, Becky Pretorious, and Caitlin McManus-Barrett and Bella Scammell, who are both from NSW, and have temporarily relocated to Perth to train with us! Along with the rest of the U23 Team, we'll be travelling to Canada in August to compete at the U23 World Rowing Championships in St Catharines. We've been stuck into the campaign for over a month so far, and are super excited to push our limits and see what we can do.

As you can imagine, the cost of an international campaign (flights, transport, equipment transport, accommodation, competition fees, insurance etc.) is quite an impressive sum, and while Rowing Australia do fund a lot of it, $8000 still falls on the Athletes to pay. Our training demands a lot of time (around 16 sessions/week!) and energy from us, leaving limited capacity to work and study. For this reason, I'd be incredibly grateful for any donations towards my seat fee to help alleviate this financial burden and allow me to allocate more time and energy to training and recovering, to ensure I'll be performing at my best!

Lastly, regardless of whether you do or don't have the capacity to donate, I'd just like to thank everyone around me, from the BOTTOM of my heart, for following and supporting my journey over the last several years, as I've failed (many-a-time!), learnt, and grown immensely as not just an athlete, but as a person. I've had a bit of a wild time over the last 18 months, overcoming a comical number of stupid injuries and setbacks (including but not limited to mosquito-borne viruses, several broken ribs, and bike falls!), and I'd be lying if I said the thought of giving up hadn't crossed my mind. But alas, thanks to my INCREDIBLE network of fam and friends, I'm still going backwards (really fast, in a rowing boat - don't worry!), probably the fittest, fastest, healthiest, strongest and happiest I've ever been. So Thank You Thank You THANK YOU everyone for believing in me! Very excited to see what this new chapter holds.
