The Queensland Golf Foundation was borne out of the need to focus on participation and development in golf in Queensland. It is the fundraising arm of Golf Queensland, the peak body for amateur golf in Queensland. Golf Queensland aims to promote and foster the game of golf, preserve important traditions, assist talented players realise their potential and provide a range of benefits to golfers across the state. The Queensland Golf Foundation’s aims are reflected in Golf Queensland’s vision of “more people playing more golf”. The Queensland Golf Foundation has three goals which are to secure future participation and sustainability of the game, grow and promote the game and its benefits and diversify income streams to invest in the future of the game. Through its three key focus areas: Juniors, Ladies and Clubs, the Foundation will actively raise funds to build new programs and pathways while also enhancing existing programs and ensure the sustainability of clubs by assisting them to manage and grow their operations. Through this, the Queensland Golf Foundation will help build stronger golfing communities in Queensland.
