Gordon Rugby Football Club is a Rugby Union club based on the North Shore of Sydney, NSW, with a proud history tracing back to 1927. The Club, known as the Highlanders, since its inception has achieved a number of first grade premierships and developed many players that have earned representative honours. In addition to the their attractive style of play, Gordon Rugby Football Club are renowned for their dedication to the promotion of the game at all levels, tremendous club spirit, enthusiastic supporters and ongoing contribution to the local community.
The Gordon Rugby Foundation has been established to continue to strengthen the Gordon Rugby Community and create an environment that encourages all young men and women to be the best athletes they can be.
The aim of the Gordon Rugby Foundation is to raise funds to advance the Gordon Rugby Football Club. We plan to do this by focusing on the five following areas:
1) Sustained on-field success including player welfare and development for Grade and Colts;
2) Maintenance and improvement of Club facilities and amenities;
3) Development of a pathway for women's rugby in the Gordon catchment;
4) Support and development of our junior clubs; and
5) Community engagement, social inclusion and support for our indigenous players.
The Gordon Rugby Foundation aims to not only continue a proud rugby tradition, but also create an environment where our players are encouraged to be successful, contributing members of the community.
Through the Gordon Rugby Foundation we hope to provide financial security for our club for many years to come. This Gordon Rugby Foundation provides a tax effective platform to enable us to obtain the financial resources required to make Gordon Rugby Football Club competitive in the professional era of Rugby .
