About the project

Australian Age Nationals in 2018 will be held at Sydney Olympic Park.  Costs to compete at Nationals for those who have worked hard to achieve a qualifying time include airfares, accomodation, and other misc costs such as car/bus hires, meals, etc.

Nationals is the pinnacle competition for age swimmers in Australia, with the best swimmers in the country training all year to achieve a qualifying time to secure a position to compete.  The costs involved with travel can often be prohibitive, preventing some swimmers from competing after working so hard to achieve a qualifying time.

About Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club

We are a Swimming WA affiliated swimming club, which has been swimming strong for over 50 years. The club has produced many successful swimmers that have represented the state at a National level. The success of GKDSC is formulated around family and community involvement. Our committee consists of parents who are all eager to help create a fun and supportive environment to allow our swimmers to reach their full potential, regardless of if their goals are to reach National level or beyond, or just to keep fit and swim socially. The club aims to provide not just a competitive environment for those who strive on competitiion, but also a fun environment through events such as movie nights, games, X-Mas Meet, Presentation night, travelling as a club to country meets, etc. We are also encouraging our members to try new things, such as targetting some Open Water events as a club.
