Hi my name is Henry Spencer and at the time of writing this I am 13 (2024) and I have a dream and that would be to represent Australia in Ice Hockey.
I started skating when I could walk so about 18 months and then started to learn to play ice hockey at 4 years old, here in Perth, Western Australia.
Ice hockey is not a cheap sport as the equipment, ice time fees and coaching all adds up so any donation would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to attend a few training camps, get some specialist training, all to help me hone my skills before the upcoming tryouts next year for the U13 National tournament.
Well thanks to the support from my family and coaches, loads of early mornings and heaps of training. I made it onto the travel team for the 2024 Phil Ginsberg National Trophy!!
My career highlights so far would be;
2018 I got to go to the McRae Williamson Jamboree in NSW where we all got to have a lot of fun and meet new friends and learn new skills
2019 Won gold in the Squirts division of The Melt The Ice Tournament QLD
2019 Got to play in the Atoms development team at Melt the Ice Tournament in QLD
2019 Played in the U13 Snow Leopards Team at the One Hockey Tournament in VIC
2022 Selected to play for ACT at only 11years old in the Phil Ginsberg National U13 Tournament, which was held in Adelaide and we came last but had lots of fun, made friends and learnt more about ice hockey.
2023 Selected to play for WA in the Phil Ginsberg National U13 Tournament, which was held in Melbourne and the WA team won Gold.
I am hoping to continue to be able to play and train in the sport I love for many years to come and make it to representing Australia.
