2025 National Age & Open Championships

Our squad program is home to an incredible group of young individuals who spend their spare time training hard to achieve their goal of qualifying to attend the annual Australian Swimming Championships. Up before 5am, home after 7pm and then having to hit the books for study is a workload superior to that of many adults!! It’s testimony to the values of these young people – they love their sport, the friends they do it with, they work hard, and they thrive among their teammates. But it’s difficult to sustain without support from a community that believes in their dreams as much as they do.

For many of our swimmers, the ultimate annual goal is to achieve the qualifying times required to compete in one of the most highly anticipated events in the swimming calendar—the Australian Swimming Championships. In 2025, this prestigious competition will be held in Brisbane in April, and for these athletes, it's the pinnacle of their hard work and dedication. However, attending such a competitive event comes with significant costs. Beyond the intense preparation, there are the realities of accommodation, entry fees, travel expenses, and more, all of which can quickly add up. And did you know that just the racing suits worn at this elite level can cost up to $1,000 each?!

We would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping to fund the travel costs and registration fees for our National Team swimmers. Donations of $2 or more are TAX DEDUCTIBLE. You will receive an official receipt from ASF that can be used as a deduction on your income tax return.
