A bit about Imogen’s journey: She started go-karting at 14, which is quite late compared to many of her peers. During her 3 years of racing go-karts she won 2 State titles and sadly was taken out in the early stages of the race while defending her previous state title, but from this heartbreak came the call from Cameron Hill (CHE Racing) to join his Formula Ford team - a progression she has never looked back from.

Imogen was the NSW Karting Ambassador for two years, empowering younger karters to get involved and believe in themselves. She has been recognised as the ZONTA - Shoalhaven Sports Person of the Year in 2023, along with being the award recipient of the Australia Day Awards being the Shoalhaven Junior Sports Person of the Year in 2022. Imogen regularly works as part of the Girls on Track Program and First Gear which are both Motorsport Australia incentives to get more young people involved in motorsports. Currently, Imogen is the only female racing Formula Ford and Formula 4 Nationally.

In June Imogen received a call requesting she be at The Bend the following day to test and compete in the 2nd round of the Australian F4 Championship. Within hours, flights, and accommodation were booked and she tackled her first-ever drive in an F4 the following day. Over this weekend she qualified 8th and finished the final race in 5th position and was awarded the Rookie for Race 3. August saw her competing in the 3rd round at Sydney Motorsport Park where she qualified 5th in the first qualifying session and 4th in the second and finished Race 1 & 2 in 4th position, and Race 3 in 3rd position and took out Rookie for each race. Imogen's result in Race 2 was quite remarkable following a stall at the start line saw her in last place, but an early safety car enabled her to catch the back of the pack to pick off car after car - it was something special to watch! Currently, Imogen is less than a second off the fastest F4 driver in Australia if not the world, he has raced overseas for two years so this truly shows the potential she has with only two sessions in the F4 car to date and no additional training in such a car. After such great results, Imogen has been asked to participate in the 5th round of the Australian F4 Championship to be held in Sepang Malaysia on 6-7th September 2024 and also be a part of the Trophy Series being held over 3 weekends in Dubai which includes being a support category in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 weekend. This is an unbelievable opportunity for her to show her abilities amongst the world's best. The upcoming races in Sepang and Dubai are critical for her progress into the F1 Academy she is solely focused on making this happen! This would see her being the first Australian female in the F1 Academy.

The journey is far from easy and motorsport is an expensive endeavor with high costs, before you add on her flights, accommodation, damage if any, and extra sets of tyres. As track time is extremely costly and extremely hard to arrange, simulator training is the most cost-effective way of training alongside time in the gym to build cardio and muscle strength.

There is only a small number of women in motorsport, and while we’re seeing more women becoming engineers and mechanics, there are still very few female drivers. It’s difficult to “beat the boys” in a sport where the playing field isn’t level. Imogen is passionate about empowering, encouraging, and supporting young females who want to break into motorsport—or any field that lies outside the stereotypical box. She strongly believes that "if you can't see it, you can't be it," and Imogen is dedicated to being that visible example. Meeting young girls at races and seeing their excitement and ambition is incredibly inspiring for Imogen.

We are extremely grateful for any support and would love to discuss further how we can work together to see Imogen compete in Malaysia and Dubai for 2024 and F1 Academy in 2025!!
