Transitioning into a new sport isnt always easy and thats exactly what I did as a 24-year-old athlete. As a sportsperson you always have dreams and aspirations, for myself, Long jump birthed a new one - Become an Olympian.
Now as a 27-year-old with 3 years of jumping under my belt, in order to make this dream possible, I will be travelling internationally all over Europe and the United States to compete in mulitple competitions. In doing so, this will give me the best opportunity to either jump the Olympic auto qualification standard of 8.27m (25cms further than my PB) or rank within the top 32 in the world.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of funding in athletics and being a self funded athlete who works part time, I cannot cover all the expenses that travelling to these competitions requires.
My goal is to represent Australia at firstly the Paris Olympic Games (2024) and then the Los Angeles Olympic Games (2028). I would be super grateful to recieve your support towards this.
