I am Jarrod Joyce, a 18-year-old tennis player from Lal Lal, 25km from Ballarat. I aspire to be a professional tennis player. I am really excited that I have been drafted by Memphis University Men’s Tennis for September 2025 this week

2024 has been a rewarding year. I earned by first ATP point early this year, in the Mildura 25 ITF. ATP Career High Mens Ranking #1771. Another highlight for 2024 was competing at the Australian Open in the Junior doubles. An amazing experience was being a hitting partner for the world number one player, Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open.

In 2024 I was the highest ranked 18U male player – Tennis Vic rankings.

This year has also had some challenges with combining my tennis developments with Year 12 studies. I’m excited to be completing my exams mid-November and look forward to being able to train and compete full time as a tennis professional.

My goal is to improve my ranking to 500 ATP during 2025 and to play in some ATP Challenger events.

Whilst I have great support from my family, we do require additional financial resources to cover the costs associated with competing internationally. Due to the financial constraints to date I have only been able to travel minimally internationally.

It has also been challenging living regionally in Victoria as I have had to travel to Melbourne and Ocean Grove several times a week for training and coaching.

I am really excited to be able to train and compete full-time and this donation would greatly assist with competition travel expenses for the 2025 schedule.

Whilst I’m dedicated to the training, commitment and travel required, I cannot succeed without a lot of support.
