Hi guys, my name is Jed Altschwager. I lost my leg in a workplace accident in 2015. Ever since that moment I made a conscious effort to look for the opportunities in my situations rather than focus on the negatives

Throughout my rehabilitation I started to really enjoy fitness and pushing myself. Instinctively I wanted more and started dreaming of representing Australia. With my love of the water, rowing really appealed to me and I started in the sport in May 2017.

I have been focused and driven ever since, wanting to prove to myself how far I can go, the Paralympics is really the greatest opportunity to prove that.

• Silver 2019 National PR3 Mens single

• Gold 2018 State Championships Mens eight
• Silver 2018 World Rowing Championships Plovdiv Bulgaria Mens PR3 Pair.
• Silver 2018 National PR3 Mens single
• Gold 2021 Nationals PR3 mens single

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

• Make the Australian Rowing team
• Strive for selection for the 2024 Paris Paralympics
• Win the Interstate National PR3 Mens race
• Be the first para athlete to make the Kings Cup crew (Interstate national mens 8)
• PB in my 2k and 5K ergo
