My name is Jen Willis, and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I am a single mum to three incredible humans, and in 2018 at the age of 47, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Determined to find hope and possibility despite the challenges this presented, I committed to pursuing a childhood dream of learning to mountaineer and started 'Climbing for a Cure' for MS, raising awareness and funds for MS research.

With a background in outdoor education, I already had a high level of competence in rock climbing, ski touring, and snow camping and in 2022 I took my passions to new heights in Nepal, combining them through mountaineering.

After spending almost six weeks in the Himalayas building my high-altitude climbing experience on Mera Peak (6476m) and Ama Dablam (6812m), and raising nearly $10,000 for MS research, I secured a place on an expedition to climb Mt Everest in April 2023. I aimed to be the first Australian with MS to attempt to summit Everest and only the third person ever with MS to stand on top of the world.

On May 18, 2023 I reached the South Col and 8000m, but due to logistical mishaps, I was forced to descend before reaching the summit. However, my journey is far from over. In April 2025, I will return to Nepal for my second expedition to attempt summit Mt Everest.

In May of this year, I returned to Nepal to volunteer my time supporting a group of other people living with MS to achieve their dreams of trekking to base camp. It was on this trip that I realized just how important it is to still follow my own dream of climbing Everest.

I am climbing to raise awareness for MS and to inspire people everywhere to find the courage to face their challenges and pursue their dreams again, proving that with determination and resilience, anything is possible.

The support of the wider community is crucial for making this 'Climb for a Cure' for MS a true success.

I invite you to donate towards this exciting expedition and help me make a positive difference in raising awareness of MS on behalf of the 25,000 Australians and 2.8 million people worldwide living with MS. Any funds raised above and beyond the expedition costs will be donated to MS research.

I also invite potential business and corporate sponsors to contact me to explore how together this adventure can inspire and motivate your people and extend your brand- please email me at climb4ms@gmail.com or call me on 0429 440 216

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for becoming a part of such a significant expedition!
