Shobukan Martial Arts has a proud history of helping young people to find fitness, respect and discipline through the ancient martial art of Karate. With a family environment and a training schedule grounded in hard work, mental toughness but mostly respect for yourself and each other, it has become a breeding ground for future champions.

And the journey goes on through the National Championships. 

And as part of that journey, 7 of the students from Shobukan Butler have been selected to represent Western Australia at the Karate National Championships in Geelong this August. 

This is a proud achievement for these young athletes, to be given the opportunity to represent their state. It is a recognition of the consistent hard work and determination that they have shown though their training to be selected for this prestigious opportunity. 

However as with all amateur sports endeavours these opportunities don’t come without a personal financial cost. 

To send these 7 athletes to Geelong, will cost around $25,000. The cost is made up of their tracksuits, Gi’s, travel, accommodation and entry fee among other things.

Every donation through this page, will help these young athletes towards achieving this next step in their martial arts journey of representing Western Australia. 

Every donation over $2 is tax deductible and can be added to your ‘Gifts and Donations’, through your ATO end of year return. As we approach the end of the financial year now, is the time to take advantage of this while also helping these athletes to not only compete but to alleviate the stress of fundraising and allow them concentrate on their important training.
