At the age of 15, Josh has been selected to represent Australia in the 2023 Asian Volleyball Confederation 1st Men's u16 Volleyball Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Despite being chosen to represent Australia in the highest level of competition for Indoor Volleyball, each athlete must fund their own journey.

Josh's Volleyball journey began back in 2020, when he decided to play indoor volleyball at his Gympie high school and join a team at his local club. After a couple of months, he decided to trial for the Qld Beach Volleyball Team, which he was successful in securing a position on the travelling team.

Each year, he has continued to represent his school at both state and national competitions and represent Queensland at both the Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships in Coolangatta, Queensland, and at the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships in Bendigo, Victoria, where his team walked away with the gold medal. During this time, he has also been a participant in the Queensland Academy of Sport Emerging Talent Program. In October 2022, he was selected to become a member of the National Development Program. He was then invited to trial for the Australian u16 men's team at the Australian Institute of Sport in April this year. It was announced a week later that he had been selected to represent Australia at the u16 Asian Championships, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in July 2023. This event serves as the Asian Volleyball Confederation qualifier for the u17 World Championships in 2024.

Leading up to this event, he continues to train most days with other elite athletes and will travel back to the A.I.S in Canberra next month to train with his Australian team.

With Josh's heart set on representing Australia at the Olympics one day (goal set for Brisbane 2032), we are asking for your support in helping him achieve his dream of representing Australia at this upcoming Championship. He will be forever grateful for any donations, big or small, that you or your business are able to make.
