Hi, I'm Josh Bell, a 30-year-old Olympian Clay Target Skeet Shooter Australian athlete from Camden NSW. Ever since I was 12, I’ve been passionate about sport and personal goals. For the last several years, I've been slowly chipping away and using my shortcomings as fuel to drive me to get better.

 My journey in Shooting has been filled with incredible highs and challenging lows. From missing out on teams by decimal points to getting told I have successfully taken out the Paris 2024 selection, I have dedicated countless hours to training, pushing my limits, and striving to be the best I can be all whilst striving for success just as much off the field as on it.

My ultimate goal is to represent my country on the Olympic stage and take home my first Olympic medal. Achieving this would mean the world to me and my family. It's an individual sport but make no mistake, there is a village of people behind my success and I do it for myself just as much as them.

One thing that's definitely different from my experiences gained from missing out on Tokyo and then successfully representing Australia in the Paris Olympic Games in 2024 is my that priorities have changed for the better and whilst shooting is a huge, huge part of my life.. my family will always be number one for me. My wife Zuzana, my two daughter's Isla and Millie are my everything and whilst I have sacrificed a lot to get to where I am today within my sport, they have sacrificed just as much when it comes to time spent at shooting ranges, travelling domestically and overseas as well as not being home with them each day. That's the down side to high performance sport being you cant take your support system with you. I know they are always behind me wherever I go and to say I'm doing this for them as much as myself would be a huge understatement. I want to show my girls that if you put your mind to something, work hard and commit to something through all the sacrifice and failures - you cant achieve anything and everything you ever want to in this life, I'm half way there to my dream after getting a taste in Paris, Its now time to go to LA and take home a Medal.

I know deep down, I have what it takes to give LA my everything but I cant do this all on my own, like many others, asking for assistance is not one of my strong suits and so this is why I've connected with the ASF in support of my campaign.

Thanks to the support from previous donations in the lead up to Paris, I was able to compete and win my selection events both domestic and international, attend training camps and world class competitions in the lead up to Olympics which where held in August. For example, most recently winning my first international medal (bronze) in a World Cup Event held recently in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Your contribution will not only help me achieve my personal goals but also inspire various groups, such as young athletes in the community, fellow teammates, etc. By reaching my funding goals, I can grow my experiences with goals of giving back to my sporting and local communities, become a role model, and look for how I can add value from my experiences in high performance sport.
