In January this year I sustained a near Olympic campaign-ending injury, fully rupturing the ACL in my right knee. With the Paris Olympics only 6 months away, surgery was not a realistic possibility. It has been an extremely challenging couple of months, and with an incredible support team I was able to return to competition in April to fight for a medal at the Continental Championships in Brazil. Despite missing a total of 16 events due to injury over the two year Olympic Qualification period, including 7 events in 2024 alone, I have managed to hold on to an Olympic qualifying position for the last 12 months.

Unfortunately, due to receiving poor information and communication in regards to the qualifying procedure, I will be required to continue competing beyond the planned team schedule in order to secure my Olympic qualification. The two upcoming events are scheduled on the 1^st June in Papeete, Tahiti, and on the 8^th June in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Although I am currently categorised as a fully funded athlete, and have competed/been funded only once this year, these additional tournaments will have no financial or coaching support for me. As a result, I will now be completely self-funding both myself and my older brother Nathan to coach me in these upcoming events. The total cost associated with these events will be in excess of $14,000, which is made up of flights to and from Australia, as well as compulsory official hotel accommodation during our stay.

If you or your business are able to help financially support this final Olympic Qualification in any capacity, it would be greatly appreciated. These costs have been paid for upfront (by my family), so if it would be more suitable for any financial contributions to occur in the 2024/25 financial year, this would also be completely fine.
