About the project

Judo is returning home for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Judo is a challenging and dynamic Olympic sport that demands both physical prowess and great mental discipline.

Judo Australia has a national High Performance Program which delivers elite level athletes, competing at the highest international level. Our elite athletes and national coaching staff work extremely hard to achieve success at the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games and the elite IJF World Tour events held every year.

Our athletes are currently working even harder and travelling around the world competing at these international events as they seek to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Our international athletes are primarily self-funded and dedicate themselves to full-time training and competition. The Judo Australia 'Tokyo 2020 Qualification' Fund registered with the Australian Sports Foundation, will provide Australian athletes with additional support to travel, train and compete at qualifying events around the world.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and each donation will play an important role in ensuring Australia's top judo athletes have the best chance of reaching the Olympics in 2020. By contributing to the Judo Australia 'Tokyo 2020 Qualification' Fund, you are helping our Australian athletes compete on the world's biggest stage.

Did you know your donation to this project is tax deductible?

The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) is the only deductible gift recipient for sport in Australia. This means that donations of $2 or more to approved projects on our website are tax deductible.

Shortly after making your donation, you’ll receive an official receipt from the ASF that you can use in your income tax return.
