Hi! My name is Juhi Balu, I am a 14 year old female basketball player, who has been given the amazing opportunity to represent Australia in an upcoming Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) college recruitment tournament in America with AUSA Hoops Basketball. Players have been selected from all over Australia, and I will be one of the youngest girls going on tour. In addition to AUSA, I am a proud member of some other wonderful basketball communities who have helped me get to this point, and who help me get better every day; namely Western Sydney Wolves, Bigtime Basketball, Breakdown Basketball, and Hills Hornets.

I am super excited to go on this tour, as I believe I will get a massive amount of development from this experience, and I will get to see if I have what It takes to play at college level basketball in the future. This tour presents a huge opportunity for me as a female athlete, as I dream not only of my own development and goals in basketball, but also being able to help the development of other aspiring female athletes coming through the program in the future. I believe my story can benefit and inspire others. A couple of years ago, I almost gave up the game I love because I lost the joy of playing. The game was starting to feel like it was more about being what others expected me to be, instead of what I wanted to be. Now, with lots of support and determination, I've overcome this and found my love of the game again.
