My name is Julian Taylor, an 19-year-old dedicated and experienced yachtsman based in Sydney. My Australian Sports foundation page is to further my sailing career and achieve my dream of attaining nationally recognized results.

I am an avid ILCA 7 sailor, competing in the Olympic-class sailing dinghy. Over the years, I have immersed myself in the sailing community, attending various events and continuously honing my skills. Currently residing in Sydney, I have the advantage of training in one of Australia's prime sailing locations, surrounded by a vibrant and competitive sailing environment.

My track record includes participation in the Laser Radial World Championships and competing in prestigious Laser events along Australia's east coast. With each competition, I strive for personal improvement, experiencing a mix of pride and determination. Notable achievements include securing titles like the NSW Metros and 2nd at the QLD State Championships, as well as placing high in other events.

Looking forward to the coming year, my primary focus is on the National Championships in 2023. As a pinnacle event in the sailing calendar, winning the National Championships (U21) would be a significant accomplishment and a stepping stone towards achieving my ultimate goal of becoming a national champion.

To realize my ambitions, I am in need of financial support to cover training expenses, equipment costs, travel and accommodation arrangements, and entry fees for the regattas that are scheduled.
